‘Weak/Werk’ is the next EP that internationally respected producer, DJ and label boss Maya Jane Coles will release before her highly anticipated forthcoming second LP. ‘Take Flight’ will be Maya’s first album since her 2013 debut ‘Comfort’, and is sure to bolster her already glowing global success.

Alongside the build-up to ‘Take Flight’, Maya has already experienced a hugely successful year with appearances at Coachella, Parklife, Wildlife, Ushuaia & Pacha Ibiza, and a dream slot to support the legendary Depeche Mode as they completed the European leg of their world tour.

‘Weak/Werk’ follows the album’s debut single package ‘Won’t Let You Down’ released to widespread acclaim, winning the favour of tastemaker DJs like Pete Tong who made ‘Cherry Bomb’ his Essential New Tune. The EP also won the hearts of the press with highly respected publications such as Mixmag, Huffington Post, Complex, Wonderland, and Groove Magazine.

Adding to her artistic integrity, ‘Weak/Werk’ is a powerful snapshot of Maya’s fiercely unique and independent approach to making music that hints to the dynamic production on the rest of the ‘Take Flight’ album.

‘Weak’ kicks things off with Maya’s signature drum programming, brooding atmospherics and echoing sound design. The track shows off Maya’s much-loved trademark sound and also takes it to new territories with her full vocal verses.

‘Werk’ is designed for the dancefloor with jittering percussion that rides alongside a hypnotic bassline and dubbed-out stabs reminiscent of her early work. There will also be a remix package to follow.

‘Weak / Werk’ will be released 21st July through ‘I/AM/ME’
