No No No. “This song is my personal story in a nutshell. The songs consists of three parts: the first part talks about rejection in love, the second part about professional rejection, and the third and most important part about realizing that the rejection only made you stronger and turned you on to better things. When I finally had my breakthrough with my music in 2009, I’d been writing and recording music for a long time. At 23, in 2005, like so many people at that age, I was full of anxiety and worry. I was writing a lot of songs, but I wasn’t sure if music would ever lead to something. At that point, my doubts were connected to an identity issue, about finding my destiny in life. In my songs, I was making myself very vulnerable for the listener, so if I wouldn't succeed, I would feel as a huge disappointment, and it would hurt since my music was so personal. That was me being 23. I wanted to be a musician not to make money, but to travel the world and meet interesting people on a daily basis. I felt my music would be the way to that goal. Even though I felt I was on the right path, it wasn’t happening. But year after year, it was slowly but surely growing and building. Today, and that's what I describe in the final/third part of "No No No", I wouldn’t want to trade it (= the slow rise to being a successful artist) even if I could, because I’m exactly where I am today because of how it started and maybe even because I had a lot of doors slammed in my face. Like the saying goes: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger", or, more specific “It only made me who I am today”, as I’m singing in the song "No No No".”
