3 days of pure love madness at Electric Love Festival
On the 9th, 10th and 11th of July about 150.000 party people from all over the world travelled to Salzburg in Austria for Electric Love Festival. Through the years, the festival gained a high reputation and earned its place between the big international festivals. The Salzburgring race circuit, lying in the middle of the beautiful green nature of Salzburgerland, was used as decor to set up the festival. The mountainous scenery, widely filled with trees and open grass fields, created a fairy-like atmosphere which made every heartbeat go even faster.
Days before the festival, Electric Love was sold out and wrote another piece of history with its third edition. With a sublime line-up of 120 artists, divided between 5 huge stages, many national and international DJ’s rocked the place with their performance.
For those who couldn’t wait until the official opening of the festival, there was a pre-party held on Wednesday eve at Club Circus, Heineken Starclub and the Red Bull Dj Deck stages. Club Circus was the main stage for several house DJ’s, such as R3hab, Deorro, Valentiano Sanchez and the Austrian Dj Felice. The festival took off with a bang, having a great atmosphere among the people.
On day one of the festival, the Mainstage was celebratory opened with a live choir and orchestra. They sang hits like ‘Don’t you worry child’ from Avicci and ‘Clarity’ from Zedd, as well as the anthem ‘Key’s To The Kingdom’, written by and live played with Dj Felice. This touchy moment was taken to an even higher level when the fireworks started together with a stunning lightshow.
Spread between 5 stages, the organization made sure that everyone could enjoy the festival in the best way possible, with a great mix of music styles. The Mainstage presented the most famous and popular DJ’s of electronic dance music, such as Alesso, Tiësto, Jay Hardway, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Axwell & Ingrosso, Steve Aoki, W&W, Armin Van Buuren, Knife Party and Showtek. The festival site was covered with beautiful decorations and lights to create a cozy setting.
The presence of Q-Dance didn’t go unnoticed. The Q-stage, a massive lion, was definitely one of the eye-catchers of the festival. The roar beats that were blown through the speakers on Friday and Saturday on this stage, could be heard from miles away. Hardstyle DJ’s like Brennan Heart, Gunz for Hire, Zatox, B-front, Noisecontrollers, Ran-D, Endymion and the female Dj Korsakoff entertained the people perfectly. In the evening, the laser –and lightshow created a unique view.
Drum and bass, techno and dubstep flawlessly switched on the Club Circus Stage. The Stonehenge Stage was the home base of deephouse lovers, with well-known artists like Lost Frequencies, Thomas Jack, Watermat, Max Manie and Robin Schulz. Upcoming talents could show their skills at Heineken Starclub. An excellent opportunity for them to release their beats into the curious audience. A lot of resident DJ’s from various nightclubs also performed at this stage.
Electric Love Festival reunited all kinds of electronic dance music and pleased the party people in an extraordinary way. This edition was more than successful, with eye for detail and potential room for improvement. We’d like to thank the organization Revolution Event for this amazing festival and are already looking forward to the next edition.
