3OH!3, New Found Glory & Cobra Starship to headline inaugural Shattered Shores music cruise
The new pop-punk, emo and alternative music cruise sets sail September 9-13, 2027, aboard Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, featuring exclusive hosted experiences from Idobi Summer School Festival and So What? Music Festival.
Shattered Shores today unveiled the lineup for its inaugural sailing, bringing together a cross-generational mix of artists who helped define pop-punk, emo and alternative music alongside the genre's next wave of talent. Headlining the September 2027 voyage are 3OH!3, New Found Glory and Cobra Starship, joined by Jaret Reddick of Bowling For Soup.
The lineup also includes Breathe Carolina, Cartel, Hey Monday, The Summer Set, MOD SUN, nothing, nowhere., Stand Atlantic, Plain White T's, Hot Chelle Rae, Millington, LØLØ, Driveways, Charlotte Sands, Winona Fighter, As December Falls, Chandler Leighton, Diva Bleach, Like Roses, Not My Weekend, Action/Adventure, SuckerPunch!, Four Year Strong, Broadside, DAVVN and Public Works, with additional artists, collaborations and onboard experiences still to be announced.
Years in the making, Shattered Shores grew out of Whet Travel's Taking Back Emo events and fan-favorite takeovers aboard Groove Cruise. Created in response to overwhelming demand from the alternative music community, it has evolved into a dedicated sailing that celebrates the music, culture and connections that shaped a generation while creating new experiences for the next one.
Shattered Shores' inaugural sailing will take place on the brand-new Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber ship, which features the first-ever, artist-designed live music venue at sea, the world's largest 5 o'Clock Somewhere, and an all-new Bridge Wing Suites, uniquely themed with unbelievable outdoor spaces. Check out this first look video at the Beachcomber.
More than a music cruise, Shattered Shores builds on what Captains know as the Groove Effect: genuine connection, shared identity, and experiences that stay with people long after returning to shore. It isn't about recreating the past. It's about taking everything that mattered and channeling it into something that continues to evolve.
Late nights that turn into mornings. Songs that never really left. Friendships that form quickly and actually last. The feeling of finding your people again, not online, but in real life. Over multiple days, the sailing brings together live bands and DJ performances, along with curated events and artist-led experiences designed to be felt, not just watched. That includes artist panels, fan activations, hosted dinners, and more direct ways for people to connect, alongside mental health and wellness programming woven into the experience.
It is not just about the stage. It lives in the space between people, where the line between artist and crowd blurs and moments feel shared.
The vision for Shattered Shores is led by Managing Director John “Skeeter” Porrata, with support from Whet Travel Founder and CEO Jason Beukema, as they bring Whet Travel’s newest endeavor to life. Porrata has built a reputation for shaping fan-first experiences while staying closely connected to community, culture, and the evolving expectations of the audience. Beukema has built Whet Travel into one of the largest independent music cruise companies in the world, with a long-standing focus on transformation, connection, mental health, and the Groove Effect.
Shattered Shores will also collaborate with Idobi Summer School Festival and So What? Music Festival to curate exclusive hosted experiences onboard. The collaboration brings together Kevin Lyman, founder of Warped Tour; Eric Tobin, artist manager and co-founder of Hopeless Records; Michael Kaminsky, founder of KMGMT; and Mike Ziemer, co-founder of So What? Music Festival. Collectively, they bring decades of experience shaping alternative music culture and fan communities, helping deliver a one-of-a-kind experience at sea.
With additional artists, onboard programming, and special experiences still to be announced, the inaugural Shattered Shores sailing is only just getting started.
