A truly atmospheric, cinematic alt rock/indie soundscape - 'Draw The Line' by Light House

'Draw The Line' starts with a strumming acoustic guitar in the opening bars with wistful lyricism soon giving way to a rousing, atmospheric soundscape that maximises a guitar driven background layered with pounding drums and those vulnerable, raw and almost melancholy lyrics, always building on the ever present cinematic tapestry of musicianship on display.

Should you require anything else, please doLIGHT HOUSE are the Wolverhampton based indie/modern rock band composed of Rob Mansfield (Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar), Cam Allsebrook (Lead Guitar), Ed Price (Bass) and Ivo Amps (Drums).

The band were formed in 2025 with members coming together from various other notable bands to make a fresh and exciting new band; Light House.

The band released their highly anticipated debut single “Animal” in February 2026 which was met with much praise receiving its debut spin on Brum Radio alongside an exclusive full band interview and further received the notable accolade of being placed in the Official Charts ‘New Music Friday’ Playlist.

From their previous band collective projects, Light House obtained national press coverage and radio support on the likes of Radio X, BBC introducing and BBC introducing live radio as well as supporting bands such as The View and The Clause and playing festivals such as the Isle of Wight and YNOT.

The band now follow up on this success with their second single release the cinematic ‘Draw The Line’.

Lead vocalist Rob has said of the track:

“This track comes from a deep place and explores the complexity of inner conflict and emotional surrender. The lyrics reflect the consistent aching thoughts during the process of imagining different outcomes to certain scenarios, something that might happen in life when you stop to digest it all. The song focuses on this invisible emotional boundary, with the awareness and understanding that it is present and that occurs when you “speak your mind”. Something I think that will be relatable to a lot of people listening, and hopefully encourage them to open up about things.

Musically, I wanted the track to feel raw and atmospheric. I think the balance between the heartfelt lyrics and anthemic instrumental sections within this song is something we managed to capture really well and something our producer for this track, Jonny Price, helped us emphasise brilliantly.”

Aside from the track itself the artwork to the new track is also of significant importance to the band with Rob commenting :-“Another really interesting thing about this song is that we produced the artwork ourselves. The inspiration behind this was seeing all the talk of AI and how AI is ruining the music industry, something we completely agree with. Our drummer, Ivo, and I took a camera out to the countryside near where we live and took some photos of some physical boundaries within nature which might help visually represent the song's meaning. I took this photo of a barbed wire fence separating cattle and we immediately knew it was the one we would use for the cover art.”
