Aaron Rowe releases "Talking With You"
Following the unprecedented reception of his debut single "Hey Ma", rising artist Aaron Rowe returns with his highly anticipated second release, "Talking with You". This new track further cements Aaron’s reputation as a distinctive songwriter and performer - an artist not only with a voice, but with something genuine to say.
What sets Aaron apart from his contemporaries is the timeless quality of his music. "Talking with You" draws inspiration from his roots in Ireland and the people who shaped his upbringing. The song is a poignant tribute to his uncle Mick. “Mick has no kids and sort of adopted me, in a way,” Aaron shares. “We used to drink cans of Guinness and watch the horses on TV.” As Aaron began spending more time in England to pursue his music career, he struggled with leaving Mick behind. “Shooting the bullshit, watching the news, picking a winner, watching him lose... wish I was somewhere just talking with you,” he sings.
“Talking with You is about my uncle back home in Ireland, who I’m very close with,” Aaron explains. “I felt a bit guilty about moving away to London to chase my music because I knew that meant I wouldn’t get to spend as much time with him - so this one’s for Mick.”
The release follows an action-packed few days that have seen Aaron’s profile skyrocket. He made his Glastonbury debut on Thursday, performing to a packed crowd - including Emily Eavis, Fred Again.., and Taron Egerton - at the Wishing Well stage. On the Friday, he delivered a stunning rendition of Hey Ma live from BBC Music’s iconic Glastonbury Treehouse studio.
Over the last couple of weeks, Aaron supported Zach Bryan at BST Hyde Park and was announced as a support act for all dates on Lewis Capaldi’s forthcoming sold out UK and Ireland arena tour. Aaron also just supported Ed Sheeran at his huge Ipswich show and has been announced to support Sam Fender at his Belfast show in August.
With Talking with You, Aaron Rowe continues to prove himself as one of the most compelling new voices in music today - an artist whose songs resonate with honesty, warmth, and a sense of home.
