Age of Life Mixes Electronic Textures w/ Ethereal Soundtrack Sounds and Post-Rock on Upcoming "Coalescence - Phase I" EP

Chris Burda, co-founder of the band COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE, uses the creative pause of his main project to explore new artistic territories with AGE OF LIFE — a long-term solo concept work centered around time, transformation and evolution. June 26, 2026 is the date for the release of the first four track EP Coalescence - Phase I.

The first EP titled Coalescence - Phase I marks the continuation of a musical journey through time and evolution, laying the thematic foundation for future releases.

Musically, Age of Life combines cool electronic structures with floating, soundtrack-like textures and an underlying rock energy. Melancholy and tension coexist in equal measure, creating an atmosphere that feels both introspective and monumental.

With the albums Emergence Part I (release: October 2026) and Transformation Part II (release: May 2027), Chris Burda presents two interconnected albums conceived as a cohesive conceptual body of work.Thematically, the project journeys through the last 542 million years of Earth’s history — from the earliest life forms to the present day and beyond. Each song represents an era, a state of being, an emotional window in time.

With the instrumental post-rock project Collapse Under The Empire, Chris Burda has

gained international recognition since 2009. His music has also been featured in several Hollywood trailer productions, including films by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.) as well as numerous documentaries.

The fourth single Reef Consciousness will be released together with debut EP Coalescence - Phase I on June 26, 2026.
