Almanac announce first headline tour!
In March, ALMANAC, the symphonic metal cavaliers led by ex-RAGE-guitarist Victor Smolski, unleashed their highly acclaimed debut album »Tsar« - but this emperor has only just started to rise - and in early 2017, ALMANAC will climb onto their horses for their first headline tour ever.
"Hello, dear metal friends!", states bandleader Victor Smolski. "I am happy to be able to invite you to our first headline tour of ALMANAC in February 2017! But first of all we want to shoot a big 'thank you' over to you after such a great feedback to our debut »Tsar«! Being nominated for the best debut album of the year at the Metal Hammer Awards was a huge honour for us. And after a great tour with ORDEN OGAN and shows at many festivals in Europe, ALMANAC have grown together as a band. On the upcoming headline dates we will not only perform the songs from our »Tsar« album, but also tracks from my time with RAGE and LMO. We'll be supported by the power metal diamonds GLORYFUL and the opener will be LICHTGESTALT, a great metal band with a soft gothic touch. And of course you can also prepare your eyes and ears for some special guests! This will be a big and diverse party in your town. Check the dates below and we hope to see you on tour!"

After 15 years and 10 CDs as guitarist, producer and composer for the German heavy metal institution RAGE, Victor Smolski now continues his musical career with his new group ALMANAC; a new musical concept combining heavy metal with classical music, songs written especially for a band and orchestra plus several male and female singers sharing the lead vocal job. The Belarus-born guitarist Smolski is joined in this new group by former LMO band members Jeanette Marchewka (vocals) and the symphony orchestra Orquestra Barcelona Filharmonia. New in the line up are bass player Armin Alic, drummer Michael Kolar and keyboardist Enric Garcia. Two high-class singers David Readman (PINK CREAM 69) and Andy B. Franck (BRAINSTORM) complete the extremely prominent line up. For all the members of ALMANAC, »Tsar« is a new, exciting, and very interesting chapter. Traditional metal in conjunction with classical music, world music and elements of Russian folklore with a modern sound all make ALMANAC a compelling and absolute listening experience.
