Ann my Guard releases 'Roseblood'

Alternative metal / dark rock musical project Ann my Guard released the second surprise track of this month, Roseblood. This song has many differences compared to the previously released Gemini. Eszter Anna Baumann speaks on the tracks below:

"I'm thrilled to share that I'm releasing two new tracks in two weeks: each exploring completely different moods and musical worlds.

The first track, Gemini is an energetic and uplifting piece that carries echoes of the early 2000s alternative music scene. Its lyrics delve into the complex, multi-layered essence of the zodiac sign Gemini. But not as a two-faced figure, but as a being who moves freely between all realms, from heaven to the underworld.

Once again, Ivar de Graaf (Kingfisher Sky, ex-Within Temptation) joins me on the bouzouki, the same wonderful instrument he played on my most recent album, She of the Sea and Stars. Although that album was released earlier this spring, I wanted to close out this incredible year by sharing two fresh songs that I was deeply excited to record.

Roseblood is totally different than Gemini. In this haunting track, I am unapologetically honest about the realities and challenges of the feminine experience and the struggle with endometriosis, a condition affecting 1 in 10 women. This track originally appeared with a very simple instrumentation on my third album, Moira, but I always wanted it to feel more theatrical and sonically intense."
