Anxious Release New Single "Secret Weapon" Out Today Via Run For Cover Records

Anxious are currently on tour a massive North America supporting their label mates Citizen alongside Hotline TNT, Rocket, and Cryogeyser, and today they're back with a fittingly huge new single "Secret Weapon."

"Secret Weapon" follows last month's single "Don't Move" and the two tracks represent the first new music from Anxious since the release of their acclaimed sophomore album, Bambi (which drawing attention from the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Consequence, Uproxx, and many more). "Secret Weapon" offers a dose of heavy, blown-out alternative rock, putting a riffy spin on the ambitious widescreen songwriting that Anxious excel at.

Guitarist/co-vocalist Dante Melucci discussed the new song, saying:

"The ‘Secret Weapon’ is the business of music, the weaponization of the stats and current fads to decide who you are as an artist, and who you should strive to be. I’m seeing artists with this objectivity in their style, their songs, that to me just comes across as desperate; I don’t believe that something beautiful can be created in a lab."

"Don't Move" has been a live staple as Anxious tours across the country, and now fans can hear "Secret Weapon" at the remaining shows.
