Åskväder confront belief and doubt on new single On The Fence, released September 18th on Icons Creating Evil Art

Following Farewell, Salt and Aim High, Gothenburg rock band Åskväder reveal another side of their forthcoming album Wax with On The Fence, out September 18 via Icons Creating Evil Art.

The song lives in the uneasy space between conviction and uncertainty. Its lyrics follow someone searching for a way forward through exhaustion, promises and deception: should they trust the voice calling them into the light, or turn away? The refrain’s question — “should I stay or should I go” — gives the track its emotional centre. Here, belief might offer salvation, but it might also leave you stranded.

For the band, On The Fence was a song that took time to reveal its full strength.

The single continues the path towards Wax, Åskväder’s third full-length album and their first with Saga on lead vocals and guitar.
