“Tonight” pivots around an interpolation of Montell Jordan’s late-’90s slow-burn classic, reframing its familiar invitation into something darker, sharper, and more immediate. The topline is pitched skyward and suspended over a meticulously arranged trap soundscape: delicate music box melodies glint against ghostly choral swells, while sweeping pitch-bent synths stretch across the stereo field.
