Basilar Festival - September 7th to 10th - Barragem da Queimadela, Fafe, Portugal
Basilar Festival is back for its 2nd edition, from September 7th to 10th, at Barragem da Queimadela, in Fafe, Portugal, with four days of electronic music, the last one extended for 24 hours.
After a successful 1st edition, Basilar presents itself in a new location with a bold program of national and international artists.
DVS1, an unavoidable figure in the world techno scene; Freddy K, who memorably closed the first edition of the festival; or Trolley Route, a project by Oscar Mulero that 20 years later returns to releases by the hands of Semantica Records, are some of the featured artists performing in September at Barragem da Queimadela.
These are joined by the Adriana Lopez, with her raw and hypnotic techno; veteran vinyl aficionado Ron Albrecht; XDB's dub techno; and some of the names that were present on the first edition of Basilar and helped define the musical line of the Festival, such as Deniro, Fadi Mohem, Leiras, Montero, or Lady Machine, this time in b2b with Tasha, RINSE FM's host.
In a live-act format, Basilar Festival features performances by the British Head Front Panel and Kerrie; Judy from the Madrid collective Phase; and the Portuguese project A Thousand Details.
Stojche, founder of Tangible Assets, and Mareena, Tresor's Berlin resident, are performing in b2b, as well as Blasha & Allat, co-founders of Meat Free parties in Manchester, for the first time in Portugal.
The lineup also features a series of national artists such as Temudo, co-founder of Hayes Collective; Amulador, programmer at Gare Porto; Enkō, Morsil and even Tauer and Esoteric. Tickets are already available and can be purchased at basilarfestival.com/tickets. The first releases of early-bird tickets have already sold out and are now at 95 with access to the four days of the festival. On closer dates, daily tickets will be released subject to the limited capacity of the event.
The festival will host a food court, camping and caravan park upon prior reservation, and glamping options in partnership with DomoCamp. Alongside the musical programme, there will be sound healing, yoga and meditation sessions.
Until September, the organization will promote a series of events in Porto to promote the 2nd edition of the Festival. The first meeting takes place on the 31st of March at Gare Porto, and the second on the 2nd of June at the same location.
