Bealby Point new track, "I'm So Bummed Out Right Now,"
Spending time with your best friends is an experience like no other. It's different from spending time with family, a girlfriend, classmates, colleagues, or any other relationships that someone develops throughout their life. The fear of missing out plays into this appreciation.
Our new track, "I'm So Bummed Out Right Now," was inspired by conversations within our band when our vocalist and bassist were vacationing in Hawaii while our guitarist and drummer were seeing one of our favourite bands, Peach Pit, perform back home in Vancouver. Despite the experience of being in a sunny space during the dead of winter, our bassist messaged our vocalist with feelings of FOMO.
This song captures the feeling of longing for the moments that you live to get back to, which many of us can relate to at the moment.
The mood of "I'm So Bummed Out Right Now" is encapsulated in these lyrics:
A feeling like it rung but then it feels like I was wrong
Another vibration gone, where one never was
You wait as the time passes, never making the first move with the expectation someone will reach out. You seem to feel a vibration in your pocket, but it was never there and it was only your subconscious reflecting your inner desire to win on a Friday night.
