Ben Hemsley grabs the sound of 90's rave culture on 'Love, Peace & Harmony', out now on Ministry of Sound

Newcastle based Ben Hemsley returns to Ministry of Sound for his second single Love, Peace and Harmony, out now. Channelling his passion for the 90’s rave sound and invoking the spirit of illegal raves and counterculture, Ben’s next offering on MoS is sure to resonate with ravers across the globe, young and old.

Following the success of Through 2 You which marked Ben Hemsley’s debut on Ministry of Sound, the Geordie DJ & producer has gone from strength to strength. Through 2 You picked up key support from BBC Radio 1 as it was announced as BBC Introducing Dance ‘Track of the week’, along with a plethora of spins from key tastemakers Annie Mac, Danny Howard, Pete Tong, Jaguar, Jordan North, Arielle Free & more, as well as Kiss FM’s top Dance radio hosts. With releases on TRICK, Arcane and Sola to name a few, Ben’s tunes have picked up widespread support from Dance Music royalty such as Solardo, Fatboy Slim, Michael Bibi, Patrick Topping, Calvin Harris, Eli Brown, Fisher & more. And in July 2021, realising his meteoric rise, Annie Mac honoured Ben with a call up to come on her show and provide the last ever Minimix in the form of Ben’s Trance Revival Mix.

Outside of the studio Ben has established himself as one of the most exhilarating breakthrough DJ’s on the live circuit. In 2021, his Creamfields performance was widely lauded as the best set of the entire festival as he packed out his tent before handing over to Nic Fanciulli. He then went on to perform alongside Patrick Topping in a mouth-watering B2B at Mode Fest, before making a trip to Croatia for Solardo’s Higher Festival, not to mention making his debut for Warehouse Project on Fisher’s event.

Ben is not afraid to be different. His production style is fluid, picking up inspiration from every corner of dance music. Ben cherry-picks his favourite elements, experimenting in a myriad of genres, moving from trance to house to techno and touching all points in between. This level of experimentation is a product of his upbringing listening to heavy trance, house and makina influences from his mum, brother and friends, and has paved the way for him to embrace music with an open mind and leave a truly unique stamp on his own productions.
