Boundary-pushing Grammy-nominated rock outfit NOTHING MORE released their deluxe edition of their acclaimed 2024 album CARNAL digital platforms followed by a physical release on CD and vinyl on May 16. "CARNAL" saw the band achieve two #1 Active Rock radio singles — “ANGEL SONG (feat. David Draiman)” and “IF IT DOESN’T HURT”—and has to date amassed 100 million streams. The album received praise for being “one of the band's most eclectic releases to date” (Blabbermouth) and having 15 “energized rock anthems that capture the band's infectious live prowess” (Knotfest).

"CARNAL" (DELUXE) will include five bonus tracks: a new version of “FREEFALL” featuring 6x Platinum-certified rock artist Chris Daughtry; a live version of the #1 single “ANGEL SONG” recorded from the band’s set at Aftershock Festival 2024 where NOTHING MORE was joined onstage by guest vocalist David Draiman of Disturbed; two remixed tracks from Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria) and Justin “JD” Deblieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White); and a new song, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE.”

“We wrote an anthem for the people who find themselves in an uncertain and chaotic phase of their life,” explains singer Jonny Hawkins about “FREEFALL.” “Every single one of us have had, or will have, experiences where it feels like the rug is pulled from under us... an end to a relationship, a job loss, or the death of a close family member. These times can be filled with anxiety, or they can be filled with spiritual euphoria as we accept our transformation. We’ve always believed that our losses are invitations to ascend to a higher level of reality...and this song is our way of encapsulating that realization. Chris Daughtry elevated that feeling with his soaring and pristine vocals. We are so honored to have him on one of the best songs we’ve ever written.”

The video—filmed in Clifton, Tennessee—features the town’s fire chief and sheriff, who also served as technical advisors on the subject matter. In casting for this narrative-driven video, the band prioritized collaborating with individuals who understand the unique challenges faced by firefighters and first responders. To ensure even more authenticity, they enlisted real-life heroes as technical advisors. Additionally, director/actor Michael Lombardi was asked by the band to star in the video because of his personal experience and affiliation with firefighters. Lombardi is well-known for his role as a series regular in the acclaimed FX series "Rescue Me," which aired for 100 episodes and received multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and wins and delved into the lives of firefighters grappling with real-life issues, including the aftermath of 9/11 trauma and personal struggles.

“WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE” is a blend of existential reflection and rebellious defiance, delivered with galvanizing vocals and NOTHING MORE’s signature anthemic hooks. When asked about the meaning behind this previously unreleased track, the band replied: “This song is for the rich and for the poor. This song is for the ones we hate and the ones we adore. In the end, one thing is true...I’m gonna die, and so are you. :)”

Emo rock revivalists THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT will release a deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed second album, "GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY", on June 13, pre-order here!

Ahead of the album’s release, they’ve unveiled an instant grat track with pre-orders of a new version of “Holy Water.” It now features guest vocals by Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, with whom THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT toured in 2024. Moody’s powerful and distinctively rugged vocals bring an exciting new element to the track.

“‘Holy Water’ has always been one of the most personal and cathartic songs I’ve ever written,” explains THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT’s Lee Jennings. “It’s about confronting your darkest moments and finding the strength to cleanse yourself of the weight they carry. Seeing the connection its made with fans, especially during our live shows, has been beyond powerful—watching the crowd scream the lyrics back at us is proof that music really can heal. Having Ivan Moody join us on this track took it to another level. “Before our tour together, I wasn’t too familiar with The Funeral Portrait’s music, so I didn’t know what to expect,” says Ivan Moody. “But after watching them night after night, seeing how they commanded the stage and connected with the crowd, I was absolutely hooked. Lilith Czar).” Illuminating the themes of devastating loss and eternal love, the song has been released one week ahead of Valentine’s Day.
