Black Peaks new reccord "All That Divides"
Be sure to mark October 5th on your calendar, as that’s the day Rise Records is proud to present its newest import from the United Kingdom, BLACK PEAKS. This exciting 4 piece is back with their highly anticipated sophomore album “All That Divides” produced by the Adrian Bushby, the Grammy Award Winning producer of Muse and the Foo Fighters.
BLACK PEAKS have been taking both critics and fans by storm with their original blend of riff-heavy, prog-infused alternative rock. All That Divides is a collection of songs that, as individual components, soar on the back of majestic highs and crashing nosedives, but which when considered as a whole, combine to create a deeply rich tapestry that rewards repeat listens with even greater revelations. It is a challenging album of ambition, grandeur and scope, released at a time when artists increasingly give little credence or thought to the album concept; yet further evidence of the aspirations of a band for whom the idea of sacrificing their creative vision is anathema.
BLACK PEAKS will be busy supporting the release doing tour dates with A Perfect Circle, as well as performances at Reading and Leeds! It’s not every day a new band comes along that not only gets your attention, but also keeps it!
Will Gardner on 'All That Divides': "Lyrically at least, this album represents the fear of a future where freedom is restricted. Over the last two years, we as a band have been incredibly lucky to have been able to travel accross Europe and play our music. The fact this happened to take place during a period where various political changes, at home and abroad, made us focus a lot about the freedom and right to travel. We have seen people, families, relationships and countries divided by conflict and political upheaval, and our reaction to this is a core lyrical theme running through the album".
