Blood Red Shoes releases The Stone Tapes

With nearly 1300 live shows under their belt, Blood Red Shoes has left an indelible mark on stages worldwide, captivating audiences from London to Tokyo, New York to Jakarta, Mexico City to Moscow, and Paris to Seoul. As their journey has progressed, their sound has evolved, encompassing elements of electronics, industrial, and experimentation, while maintaining their signature male-female dual vocal approach. The duo's ability to continually reinvent themselves has cemented their position as an influential force in the alternative music landscape.

Beyond their work as a band, both Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell have remained deeply involved in contemporary music culture. Laura-Mary has released solo records and hosts the popular "Never Meet Your Idols" podcast, featuring notable guests from bands such as The Cure, The Black Keys, Refused, Portishead, Idles, and more. Meanwhile, Steven Ansell has made a name for himself as a sought-after producer, collaborating with artists like CIEL, Circe, ARXX, The Xcerts, and many others. In 2013, Blood Red Shoes established their own label, Jazz Life, not only to release their own music but also to nurture and support talented artists from around the world.

Building on the success of their sixth studio album, "GHOSTS ON TAPE," Blood Red Shoes is set to release an exciting collection of reworked, remixed, and reimagined tracks from the album. This special release will feature contributions from acclaimed artists such as Liars, DZ Deathrays, Demob Happy, Ayse Hassan of Savages, Softcult, and more. Additionally, fans can look forward to experiencing one brand-new track, "LONG LOST GHOST," created by the band themselves. This remarkable album showcases Blood Red Shoes' mastery in crafting haunting melodies that resonate deeply with their audience.

In keeping with their gothic and horror-inspired themes, Blood Red Shoes' forthcoming album, "THE STONE TAPES," derives its name from an obscure 1970s TV horror film about a haunted old Victorian mansion, which stores horrifying events from the past in its bricks, then replays them to torment unsuspecting visitors. With nine mesmerizing tracks featuring a blend of remixes, collaborations, and an all-new composition, Blood Red Shoes invites listeners to embark on a chilling auditory journey.
