Boston-based indie darlings Couch expand team with CAA's Lizzie Ford as global momentum builds

Boston-based indie retro pop/soul seven-piece band Couch continues its rapid international ascent, announcing today that they have signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA)'s Lizzie Ford for international booking. Ford, whose roster includes acclaimed artists such as Remi Wolf, Madison Cunningham, Paris Paloma, and more, will represent the band outside North America as Couch continues to expand its global touring footprint. The signing also places the band within CAA's global touring ecosystem alongside artists including Olivia Dean, MUNA, The 1975, Sabrina Carpenter, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, and many more.

The signing arrives on the heels of a breakout year for the fully independent, self-managed band. Earlier this spring, Couch completed a highly successful European headline tour as part of a 40-plus-city run in support of their debut album Big Talk. The tour boasted several sold-out performances across North America and Europe, including multiple sold-out dates in London (2,000 tickets sold), Copenhagen, Paris and more, plus, the band’s biggest hometown headline performance to date selling 3,500 tickets at The Roadrunner in Boston.

Now in the midst of the summer U.S. leg of the Big Talk Tour, the CAA partnership marks another major milestone in Couch's growing industry momentum. Now through September, the band will play festivals like Bourbon & Beyond and WXPN Festival and support fellow Boston favorites, Lake Street Dive. Building on the breakout success of Big Talk, the band has earned critical acclaim from NPR and The Boston Globe, made its national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning, and continues to distinguish themselves as one of the few fully independent, self-managed bands successfully touring internationally at this scale, and last year, Couch won the awards for “Pop Artist of the Year” and “Live Act of the Year” at the Boston Music Awards. Recent Boston Music Awards winners include Noah Kahan, Clairo, Lake Street Dive, and Guster.
