Acclaimed progressive rock composer and multi-instrumentalist Brendan Perkins is set to release his latest album, Trading River Songs, on May 8, 2026. A richly textured and emotionally resonant work, the album showcases Perkins’ signature blend of virtuosity, atmosphere, and storytelling within the symphonic and pastoral progressive rock tradition.

With a First Class BA degree in Creative Music and over four decades of recording and sound engineering experience, Perkins brings a rare depth of craftsmanship to his work. A true multi-instrumentalist, he performs bass, electric and acoustic guitars, drums, keyboards, ukulele, mandolin, and a range of percussive instruments across the album, creating a fully immersive sonic experience.

Trading River Songs reflects Perkins’ enduring passion for musical exploration. Speaking about the release, he shares:

"As I approach my 60th birthday, I'm realising that music is teaching me more now than at any other time of my life. The more I learn the more I realise how vast the creative universe is, and I'm loving every second of it."
