Buds. announce new EP with the release of pop-punk banger, Grit

Hampshire Pop-Punk veterans, Buds., announce their signing to Beth Shalom Records with the release of their new single, Grit, ahead of their new EP due on June 25th.

Their second EP, Full, was recorded by 5th member and producer Tom Hill (Employed To Serve, Modern Rituals) features a more condensed and introspective collection of songs focusing again on existential dread and new perspectives that come with growing older and wiser. Instead of progressing towards a more melodic and softer touch, Buds. have doubled down on their punk energy incorporating more use of aggressive vocals and guitar riffs while maintaining their anthemic sensibilities.

Discussing the lead single, frontman Dan Wilson-Stone discusses, "Grit is like an old western equivalent to the “stiff upper lip/ just get on with it” mentality that we have in British society. Admittedly I wrote the line for the sake of something to rhyme the following line. The song is about learning to come to terms with the fact that I’m probably not going to thrive in the traditional 9-5, get married, buy a house, play golf on a weekend etc. way of being and how for ages I felt like I always came across as workshy, lazy, entitled etc. because of the way I was."

Full EP is available pre-order on Cassette and 10" Lathe Cut Vinyl through Beth Shalom Records here: www.store.bethshalomrecords.com
