Bugeye Reveal Politically-Charged New Single ‘These Walls Will Fall’ Released 1st May 2026

Croydon queer electro-pop outfit Bugeye are pleased to reveal their new single ‘These Walls Will Fall’, released 1st May 2026 via all good digital service providers.

‘These Walls Will Fall’ is a defiant, politically-charged anthem about media control, manufactured division and the systems that thrive on keeping people isolated and distracted. It explores how fear and difference are amplified to fracture communities, keeping us focused on each other instead of those pulling the strings.

But the track doesn’t sit in despair. It’s a warning shot. Beneath its driving energy and insurgent spirit lies a promise: the walls built to divide us won’t stand forever. One day they will fall, and when they do, unity will be louder than control. Fierce, urgent, and unapologetic, ‘These Walls Will Fall’ is a rebel call for collective awakening and a better future.

Commenting on the track, front woman Angela Martin says: “The song came from that feeling that we’re constantly being pushed to focus on what separates us; politics, culture, identity, while the real power structures, the real architects of it all stay hidden and out of sight. ‘These Walls Will Fall’ is a refusal to buy into that. It’s a reminder that division is a tactic, and unity is a threat. And when people start seeing through the noise, those walls won’t hold.”

The track is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming second album, The Shape of Things, set for release on 15th May 2026 via new label home INH Records (Fightmilk).

Produced and mixed by Ash Workman (She Drew The Gun, Christine and the Queens) with co-production and arrangements by Angela Martin of Bugeye, The Shape of Things was mastered by Katie Tavini (Rudimental, Arlo Parks, Los Bitchos).

Lead single ‘Comfortably Numb’ was released month alongside the album announcement to a flurry of excitement from indie tastemakers at Louder Than War, LOUD WOMEN, Joyzine, The List Magazine, The Wee Review and more, plus airplay from Amy Lamé at BBC 6music, and John Kennedy at Radio X.

Following recent support slots with snake eyes, cheerbleederz, and Millie Manders and The Shutup, the band will be on tour throughout spring and summer 2026 on their own UK headline tour dates and festival appearances, with upcoming support slots alongside Loose Articles, The Ordinary Boys, and Dodgy—tickets are on sale now (see below for listings).
