Built For The Future releases 2084 EMPIRE on June 5th

Built for the Future is a crossover prog band from San Antonio, Texas/USA. The first album by the band was released in 2015 to a welcomed critical acclaim. The band have since release three albums and are about to release their opus 4th album, the double album: 2084 EMPIRE.

The band shows influence from the sounds they admire, but has a fresh approach that truly has a distinctive sound of rockaccessibilitymelody. They describe their primary influences as Rush meets Tears for Fears meets Pink Floyd. Melody and emotion are the primary drivers in their writing, preferring arrangement and emotive connection over hyper busy or technically flashy playing. Its all about the song, the feeling, the theme and the journey a listener can fall in to.

The new album is the second part of an Orwellian saga started with the previous album 2084 HERETIC. It’s a double album of Orwell themes and gritty dystopian vibes. The album includes a 26 minute suite OCEANIA, and the band feels that this is the best album they have released to date.

"The album was conceived as an epic trilogy, and I am very proud of the feeling that we achieved. The dark dystopian take on Orwell feels oddly fitting today." —Patric Farrell

"This album represents a renewed feeling of satisfaction in how we work together on songwriting and idea collaboration. It’s not surprising that our combined contributions have pushed us to create our best work so far" ―Kenny Bissett
