Cashier sign to Julia's War, announce EP and share "Like I Do"

Lafayette, LA band Cashier are excited to join the roster of Julia’s War Recordings with the announcement of their debut EP, The Weight, available March 13, 2026. Premiering today, "Like I Do" searches for answers among driving riffs and powerful vocals. The band has also shared an official visualizer for the track, filmed throughout previous tours around the country.

“This one is more of a piece of generic rock,” bandleader Kylie Gaspard explains. “We kind of wanted to make our own version of that sound. The lyrics are very simple, just about two people figuring each other out, what feels right when you’re unsure of a scenario, and navigating another person’s energy.”

The Weight marks Cashier’s first full-length project as a band, following their debut singles in 2023 and 2024, which quickly established the four-piece's ability to unite all kinds of crowds by showcasing a massive, heavy sound, anchored by powerful melodic hooks that cut through the noise. Songs like “Angels All Around” and “Maybe I Was Wrong” cemented their sonic identity, further defined by Kylie's raw, emotional, and direct vocal delivery and diaristic lyrics.

After touring around the U.S. over the past couple of years, Cashier has supported bands like Dinosaur Jr., Whirr, Nothing, Narrow Head, and more. In March, they’ll hit the road to play shows at SXSW in Austin, TX. More details will be available soon. For more information, stay up to date on Instagram with @cashierband.
