Chairlift presents "Romeo (video)"

Chairlift released cinematic video for new single 'Romeo'

True to their reputation for eye-popping and unforgettable accompaniment for their music, Chairlift is proud to announce the release of their new music video for second single “Romeo.” The new video was premiered on Vevo and can be found here: http://smarturl.it/RomeoVideo

Directed by that-go with creative direction and concept by Chairlift, the video was shot on location in New York City’s vibrant Chinatown. The song itself is based on the tale of the Greek Myth of Atalanta, as summed up well here. Sung from the viewpoint of Atalanta on her final race, the video stays true to the theme of running, arrogance, and finally, submission in the face of love. In the video, Chairlift gives their gestural take on the myth, but only hinting at it rather than explicitly reenacting.

Their new album Moth has been released on friday on Columbia Records. Their third album to date, which Pitchfork has praised as their “...best and smoothest long-player statement”, is available both physically and digitally. Named one of Billboard’s “Albums To Get You Amped for 2016”, Moth is an openhearted pop influenced album that has been entrancing new listeners while delighting longtime fans.
