Chris Linton releases new single 'Anyway'
Vocal powerhouse Chris Linton has released his latest impassioned indie pop single “Anyway”.
Sitting at an outstanding 1.9 million monthly listeners, Chris Linton continues to craft a miraculous discography of raw, heart-rending songs that encourage & empower self-acceptance. With his latest single ‘Anyway’ produced by Tim Laws (Yungblud, Gabrielle) featuring thoughtful, formidable melodic work, Chris flips the lyrically melancholic outline of the song into an optimistic, bouncy pop paragon bursting with addictive qualities that make it hard not to press repeat. ‘Anyway’ correlates the enigmatic process of accepting your imperfections, and knowing that in this success driven society, it’s ok not to be 100% all the time, it’s ok to mess up.
Linton on the inspiration behind the track: “On social media we come across inspiring success stories, self help tips, and resources on how to better understand and love ourselves in a world that sometimes we feel so lost in. We tell ourselves we have it sorted, that we have it all figured out, that we are living life the best way we can. Everyone’s expectations are set so high, we can’t deal with the idea of letting anyone down, not even ourselves. Admittedly, I am my own worst critic. ‘Anyway’, is my way of embracing my imperfections, by singing out loud that I know I will get lost, I will fall and I will make mistakes but that’s okay. I want to champion the ideology of imperfection because at the end of the day, we are only human after all.”
The release of ‘Anyway’ will feature a TikTok campaign designed to encourage introverted musicians into leaving the bedroom & facing the outside world with a confident stride. This will be executed in a thoughtful plan that will see Chris Linton busking in remote, unusual locations (Empty Beaches, Industrial estates, Farming Fields) helping creatives feel like they can take that first lunge into the daunting realm of performing for the first time.
Chris is undoubtedly set to have a fantastic year, with his artistry achieving him collaborations with the likes of Gabrielle Aplin, Tim Laws (Yungblud, Gabrielle), Jamie N Commons (Lewis Capaldi, Eminem), as well as his last three releases landing editorial placements over Spotify & Amazon.
