Daniel Avery releases "Tremor"

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery returns to the world of Tremor with the announcement of Tremor (Deluxe Edition), released digitally via Domino on Friday 1st May. The expanded edition brings four brand new tracks alongside a trio of striking remixes, further deepening the album’s rich emotional and sonic landscape. Written to close the Tremor chapter, these new songs extend its immersive world with a renewed sense of introspection and atmosphere. In keeping with the album’s collaborative spirit, Avery is joined by yunè pinku on ‘Lazy Dreams’ and Art School Girlfriend on ‘Give Your Feelings a Try’, both artists lending their distinctive voices to a set of tracks that feel at once deep, dark and quietly euphoric. Steeped in nostalgia yet firmly forward-facing, these additions capture the emotional core of Tremorin its final form.

Alongside the new material, three heavyweight producers reimagine key moments from the record. Australian duo X CLUB.transform ‘Rapture In Blue’ into a hazy, trip-hop-leaning rework, while Detroit techno pioneer DJ Stingray 313 delivers a high-velocity, machine-driven version of ‘Greasy Off The Racing Line’. Rising producer IMOGEN completes the set with an energised, uptempo take on ‘Haze’, pushing the track deeper into club territory.

Tremor (Deluxe Edition) serves as a fitting final chapter for an album defined by connection and collaboration. Expanding on the original record’s themes of movement, memory and togetherness, these new works and reworks reaffirm Avery’s singular ability to balance dancefloor intensity with emotional depth.

Speaking on the Deluxe edition, Daniel Avery explains: “The walls keep expanding. Four new songs from inside the world of Tremor, all part of my love story with this place. This Deluxe Edition also features remixes from future superstars X Club plus luminaries IMOGEN and DJ Stingray who both recently joined me at my Phonox residency in London. It’s time to check into the world of Tremor all over again.”

On the original Tremor, Avery welcomed an inspiring cast of collaborators, including the likes of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), yeule, Ellie, Art School Girlfriend, yunè pinku, and Cecile Believe. Each artist left their indelible mark, yet the record’s true power lies in the communal spirit at its core. Marking his debut on Domino, the album was mixed by Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails) and David Wrench (FKA twigs, Frank Ocean), and mastered by Heba Kadry - each vital to the creative fabric of the record.

The release follows a landmark period for Avery, including his acclaimed Tremor (Midnight Versions) project and a series of standout live and DJ performances including a sold out 4-week residency at Phonox. Daniel is about to embark on a run of festival dates this summer, further cementing his reputation as one of electronic music’s most compelling and versatile voices.
