Danish Art-Rock Act 4 guys From The Future Release New Sharp Pop Track Titled "A New Life"!

Danish art rock band 4 Guys From The Future is back to present the most fabulous pop track from Bjarke Porsmoses unsentimental songwriting: The new single A New Life is out June 5th.

In Germany they were called "Die Band von Übermorgen", and in both Germany and France, 4 Guys From The Future established themselves a name in the early 10s as a recognized and innovative indie pop act.

The future was and is part of the band's nervous system. It is built into the name, and it lives in the music and lyrics, in which band leader Bjarke Porsmose has always sought direction and dreams. For Bjarke, who is front and back in 4 Guys From The Future, tomorrow has always been a more or less conscious theme. That was the theme of the debut album, and is it on the new single.

A New Life is a big ear hanger of hope - hope that tomorrow can always be a new beginning. The song is challenging in and out of familiar frameworks, bouncing off with arms in its play of dreams and the desire to find peace of mind in a modern world:

"It is personal for me,” says Bjarke, "this with all the time to look forward to a new age and be aware that it is not too late to change and evolve - even as a society. The song revolves around the hope of a new day, the hope of one day finding and creating what I dream of. Accept, calm. I cannot let go of the neurotic sensation of new possibilities that are constantly flickering on the surface of the water in the future. Maybe I will find some tranquility one day, but not yet."

A New Life has grown into a fruitful collaboration with producer Rune Borup, where the playful immediacy of the good ideas is weighted against long heavy work processes - and together they have created a piece of effortless and big pop music, where personal hope balances the exuberant joy of life. and the pathos of dusk.

Karl Zinn Hansen who created the video comments: "The video for "A New Life" takes a playful look at humanity’s desire to control what cannot/should not be controlled. The video revolves around a fully cg-constructed tree, housing five visible birdhouses (maybe more?). These houses seem to be gateways, to contain other dimensions. I wanted to address the interdependent relationship between human nature with nature as such and ask the question: Why do we feel the need to create accommodation for animals, who are perfectly capable of creating their own, without our help (maybe out of aesthetic desire?). Specifically, the birdhouses also function as windows into other, potential, worlds. Worlds that should be seen as neither utopian or dystopian worlds, but only for what they are; a humorous glimpse into possible worlds, worlds of the mind, worlds that could have been exactly as real as our own and still different with every passing of the camera- if only the dice had fallen differently”.

Guys From The Future was created in 2009 around the songs of singer Bjarke Porsmose.

In 2010 the debut album Under The New Morning Sun was released which brought the band an admirable attention in Denmark and most notably in France collecting outstanding reviews allover.

The years of 2011 and 2012 were spent visiting and touring Denmark and France (including a show at Roskilde Festival and three visits to Paris in 2011), preparing for the 2nd album, Adagio, to arrive in 2015 also reaping overwhelming reviews.

After a short break down in Bjarke's personal life the 3rd album Headspace was released in 2018, not getting much attention. It was a substantial and tough album to make and "afterwards I wanted to produce music at a faster pace, something fresh, energetic, more inviting and optimistic", Bjarke has said.

This became the 2020 (release date: tba.) EP Beneath The Arches Of The World; a collection of 5 singles, a flowering of different artistic expressions, gracefully showing the width of Bjarkes songwriting talent and setting the scene for a new artistic curiosity, adding new layers to the story of 4 Guys From The Future.
