Danish punk rock pirates Skullclub shares ferocious video for ‘667’ from new album

The Danish punk rock pirates SKULLCLUB from Slicetown 6000 aka Kolding are ready with another frontal kick of madness in the shape of their third full-length album, 'Kaptajn Overdrive,' out March 8th 2024. Last week, SKULLCLUB unleashed the album’s first single, the suburban-diabolical metal rock tune '667’, which is now accompanied by a ferocious video fulfilling the band’s statement that "where there’s signs of peace, we’ll take ‘em down.”

The ship SKULLCLUB set sail in 2009, initially loaded with EPs ‘Død Og Kritte’ (2012) og ‘Klyng Dem Op’ (2013), followed by the debut album '‘Gamle Ar og Nye Tænder’ (2014), and most recently, the seven seas have echoed with the hard-hitting full-length ‘Smækhugger' (2019).

No prisoners have been taken along the way, and certainly not on the new collection of rocking sea shanties that make up SKULLCLUB's brand-new album 'Kaptajn Overdrive'. On the album, the band continues to deliver the sea's best mix of folk, sing-along rock 'n' roll, seasick punk rock, and hardcore, always with a glint in the eye and now with a good dose of metal that can make even the stiffest wooden leg stomp along.

On 'Kaptajn Overdrive', SKULLCLUB sets all sails and delivers a maritime rock n’ roll party of the wildest kind, featuring banjo, rock n’ roll guitar, a lively grooving rhythm section, and not least the charismatic lead singer Troels Bjorholm, who spews his lyrical oaths and curses to the right and left in a particularly grumpy and engaging manner.

'Kaptajn Overdrive' is produced by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy) in his recording studio in Southern Jutland, and the artwork is created in collaboration with graphic artist Nicolai Franzen. The whole shebang arrives in all kinds of digital formats on March 8, 2024, and on vinyl on March 30, 2024, via a well mannered alliance with the distinguished crew at Mermaid Records.
