Danish rock ensemble Tyrants & Kings releases new album ‘Sketches For A Requiem’ and announces shows
After a ten-year hiatus, the Danish rock ensemble TYRANTS & KINGS emerges from the shadows and into the dark on their new album 'Sketches For A Requiem' out today May 31st. These past months, the band has shared two singles, the bleak and beautiful opener ‘End of An Endless Day’, and the solemn cry of ‘My World Is Burning’, alongside live video sessions. Two prolific songs bearing witness to an album with a new minimalist approach to production and songwriting, cutting to the core in its personal tales of life and death.
Singer and lyricist Dennis Kasten states on the new record: “Sketches For A Requiem is the most honest and most personal album we have ever made. I am very proud that the songs are now ready to move away from home, and we look forward to seeing how they develop as we play them live in different settings and band constellations.”
'Sketches For A Requiem' is released on vinyl and digital formats through their newly established imprint Engine Room Records. The vinyl version can now be ordered HERE, while digital formats are available HERE.
TYRANTS & KINGS will celebrate the new record with a free release show at Nordsø Records in Copenhagen tomorrow June 1st and today, the band can announce five additional Danish dates, including the next coming show, June 9th at Loppen, Christiania in Copenhagen as support for the American rock band Rain Parade.
