Today, Danish rock forerunners Junkyard Drive release their new single, the melodic, rocking ‘Beautiful Love’, the third in a row from their upcoming album ‘SQUEEZE’ out November 6th. The song is yet another blazing example of the band’s freshly updated sound on the album, which points in a new direction while keeping the band’s characteristic sound, high energy, and outstanding songwriting fully intact.

The album title comes from the band’s internal expression “Squeezing the bottle”: the last drops that especially thirsty souls try to squeeze out of the bottle. It serves as a metaphor for the pressure you can be subjected to as an artist – and, not least, the pressure you put on yourself and on each other - a main theme on the record. In love, you sometimes push both yourself and your partner to the very edge, but love can also become the force that holds everything together and ultimately sets the individual free.

Leadsinger Kristian on “Beautiful Love”:

“It is the classic story of how falling in love completely takes over your brain and body. You're stumbling into awkward situations, acting clumsy, forgetting how to finish a sentence, and looking nowhere near as cool as you want to. Once it hits you, there's nothing you can do, and in many ways, that's also what makes love beautiful.”

In support of their upcoming album ‘SQUEEZE’, Junkyard Drive will bring their high-powered show on the road with 19 shows in Denmark, Germany and UK, starting with nine German dates next week. Tickets for the tour are available HERE.

Since their inception in 2014, Junkyard Drive has made a mark on the rock scene with intense energy and unequivocal passion. After cementing their reputation with the albums ‘Black Coffee’ and ‘Electric Love’, they have proven their ability to evolve and create music that resonates, latest with ‘Look At Me Now’ from 2024.

With the new album, Junkyard Drive has broken with their usual framework and gone 100% independent. The album is the result of an uncompromising DIY approach, where the band has taken full control of the entire process, from the first demo to the release. They haven’t been entirely alone, however. The album was made possible thanks to enormous support from the band’s loyal fans, who funded the release through a crowdfunding campaign.

Junkyard Drive have long since cemented their status as one of Denmark’s strongest live acts. With their roots firmly planted in classic rock, yet with a modern melodic touch, they have carved out their own distinct lane in the musical landscape. The last couple of years have gone by, with rocket speed, supporting Steel Panther, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and The Lazys, three european tours and 75 show-nights.

With four critical acclaimed albums and over 200 live performances in 16 countries, including Sweden Rock Festival (2018), Copenhell (2022) and 36 other festivals all over, shows with a band that, like Junkyard Drive, live for the live-experience and the connection with an audience who, after 11 years has become an extended family in and of itself.
