Dark/Neo Folk from the end of the world

The force that feeds our body and soul, from the earth surrounding us to the air that pushes us. That is the proposal of Chilean band Bosque de Hualles in their most recent single 'Madre Nutricia', a video clip recorded in Chilean Patagonia that reflects that energy source that sustains us among the small lichens, rocks and streams, as well as in the foothills of the endless mountains and skies at the end of the world.

“We are a project with a deep connection with nature. People have told us that our music takes them to the south of Chile. In fact, the images were filmed mainly in the overwhelming landscape of the Aysén Region of Chile, among the sublime land that shelters us, feeds us and teaches us how to live our lives," the band says about the song that will be part of their first album that will be released -tentatively- in the third quarter of this year, by Mexican label Sun Empire Productions.

Bosque de Hualles is a band whose origin lies in feeling music from its folkloric roots, discovering that inseparable union with the land we inhabit. Born among the forests of Panguipulli in southern Chile and under the gaze of a solar eclipse at the end of 2020, they began to create songs full of melancholy and longing.

“Metal is a musical genre that gets along very well with folk, with paganism, and this band allows us to explore that aspect, extending the limits of what we usually do,” says the group, which explores dark music with Andean and Celtic elements, providing a dark/neo folk atmosphere textured by a long sunset.

'Madre Nutricia' is the band's second single, a video clip produced by “El Jardín del Pulpo” (who have worked on feature films such as "Vitae" and "La Ciudad de los Cesares"), under the direction of Lucho Villegas and the Photography & Post Color by Joaquín Cacciuttolo.

Bosque de Hualles is composed of Juan Acevedo (Weight Of Emptiness) on guitar, Cesar Antilef on bass, Javier Cerda (Wooden Veins) on vocals and percussion, Andrei Oltean (Clouds, E-an-na) on flute and Cristian Ramírez (Antucuran, Wangelen) on guitar.
