Dead Poet Society share new track 'My Condition' | new album out 26.01
Los Angeles quartet Dead Poet Society will drop their second album FISSION on 26 January via Spinefarm. Today, the band have shared new single My Condition.
Commenting on the track the band's frontman Jack Underkofler says, "This song took years to write and it’s one of our favorites. It’s about knowing that nothing matters, so might as well go for what brings you fulfillment and do what you want."
DPS have also announced details of an exclusive and intimate record release show. Rock Night Out presents Dead Poet Society: The FISSION Album Release Experience, sponsored by Spinefarm Records, is set for 24 January in Los Angeles at Pico Union Project. Additionally, The FISSION Tour is set for this spring, including a headline run in the UK and Europe and appearances at festivals such as Shaky Knees, Welcome to Rockville, and Sonic Temple.
In the meantime, fans can find themselves transported to a DPS show by watching their video comprised of live performance footage for How could I love you? The footage is culled from the band's recent performances at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis and at the Subterranean in Chicago.

After a decade defining, redefining, and perfecting their art, FISSION finds Dead Poet Society poised to be rock's next breakout act. The album is a 13-track study of personal change and the turbulence of growth that, as frontman Jack Underkofler attests, takes "a microscopic and broad look at the events that changed who we are." Make no mistake: Dead Poet Society are a uniquely captivating group, rock’s next great breakout act, with FISSION set to capture the hearts and challenge the minds of fans old and new on the journey ahead. Following on the heels of their acclaimed debut full-length –!– (2021), FISSION seeks to unpack the personal journey its creators have been on during that ride to date.
Dead Poet Society have accumulated over 72 million global streams, with nearly 32 million streams in the U.S. alone. The band have also enjoyed two Top 15 singles at radio in the US and key playlisting. Dead Poet Society have previously toured with alt rock powerhouses Biffy Clyro, Badflower, Highly Suspect and BRKN Love; and they’ve played iconic festivals such as Download, Pinkpop, 2000trees, Rock Werchter and Reading & Leeds in recent years.
