Defqon.1 2014 compilation mixed by Coone, Art of Fighters, B-Front and Audiofreq
It’s almost time for Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2014! On Friday the 27th of June, the festival will open its doors for the 12th time. Tens of thousands Weekend Warriors will march towards the event area of Biddinghuizen for a weekend into the wasted wilderness of the harder styles. Organizer Q-dance raised the bar again for this year; with more than 200 artists playing at 14 different areas, this is the biggest line-up in Defqon.1 history. We kick off the weekend with the release of the Defqon.1 compilation.
It’s a feast for the ears for both visitors and home stayers. All harder styles are represented on this compilation mixed by Coone, Art of Fighters, B-Front and Audiofreq.
The first mix is made by Coone, who also produced this year’s anthem “Survival of the Fittest”. Next to the anthem, this mix also contains tracks like “This Is Home” by Wildstylez & Coone ft. Cimo Fränkel, “Just Film It” by Frontliner & Sway, “Synergy” by TNT & Headhunterz and “Bass Drops” by Hard Driver. Coone: “The mix is building up; it starts with euphoric hardstyle and ends with a raw edge”.
Hardcore Heroes Art of Fighters did their duty on the second mix. You can enjoy rock hard tracks such as “Fuck You!” by Art Of Fighters, “Der Craft #TiH” by Tha Playah and “Commander” by Re-Style & Catscan. You better warn the neighbours!
Mix three is all about RAW. B-Front added some of his own tracks, such as Tormented” with Alpha2 and “Vitruvius” vs Donkey Rollers, but also “A Storm Is Coming” by Gunz for Hire and “Execute” by Zany. A perfect reflection of the RAW hardstyle sound.
Audiofreq took care of the fourth mix. The slightly eccentric QULT-electro vibe that radiates from the Australian Audiofreq is clearly noticeable in his own tracks like “Bassface” with ACTI and “Wake Up” with Organ Donors. Tracks like “Qulthelden” by S1ngular and “Belther” by ACTI & Antolini complete this subground mix.
In short, the Defqon.1 compilation is a must-have for all harder styles fanatics. It will be available digitally on iTunes and other digital stores and as 4CD at the online Q-dance Merchandise Store and at the festival itself. Keep an eye out on the Q-dance socials for signing sessions during the festival.
