DeLee Moves Up with his Debut EP On Top Of Toronto

Grenadian-born, Toronto-based soca artist DeLee drops his new EP On Top Of Toronto, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on September 23, 2014 from FOX FUSE. The compilation is short and sweet with three tracks, giving you a taste of the new sounds from this eternal entertainer.

DeLee embarked on his musical journey in Grenada at the tender age of 10, as a mouth organ player in a scratch band, which included a box bass, a scratcher and a milk pan player. From this rudimentary beginning, he moved on to Harmony Brass as a drummer/vocalist. By 1979, he had co-written the 1979 Grenada Road March song, “Stand up Grenada.” Two years later, he joined the Grenada Police Band, where he expanded his repertoire of musical skills to include those of a second trumpeter.

With this background in place, DeLee migrated to Canada in 1986 to broaden his musical horizons, and played with the bands Import and The Relatives as a drummer/vocalist. He has performed with the likes of Baron, Calypso Rose, Red Plastic Bag, and Ajamu, among other outstanding artists, over the years.

DeLee has continued to hone his composing, arranging and engineering skills and produces mostly original music from his Delmatt Studio in Markham, Ontario. Now with his new EP in hand, fans can continue to enjoy unique sounds from this lasting performer and producer.
