Desert Storm to kick off European tour this week

Oxford-based groovy riff machine DESERT STORM will be kicking off a European tour this week - starting at The Unicorn in London. Following on from the success of their latest release, Omniscient, earlier this year, the five-piece will be taking their good time, heavy riffin' stoner rock on the road.

The band commented: 'We're really stoked to be going out to Europe again to promote Omniscient. The UK run will be with support from our good friends in Mother Corona, and will include a show at Brighton's Mammothfest with the likes of Feed The Rhino & Hang The Bastard. Then we return to Belgium, Netherlands & Germany, and make our debut appearance in Poland, which will be a lot of fun! Along the way we will be keeping a tour diary - so stay tuned! DESERT STORM entered the studio in 2014, to lay down the tracks for Omniscient with Jamie Dodd at Flesh & Bone Studio, Hackney, before the producer - who counts Orange Goblin among his credits - returned to The Animal Farm studio in south London, where it was mixed

The follow up to 2013's critically acclaimed Horizontal Life, which was mastered by Billy Anderson (Melvins, Sleep, Cathedral) was released on 26th January 2015. What may appear to the untrained eye to be a straight up stoner rock album, has a bluesy depth and at times veers towards a folk-tinged acoustic edge.

DESERT STORM will appeal to fans of The Sword, Clutch, Down and Torche. Omniscient' is their third album - their heaviest, yet most diverse release to date. The band have notched up many high profile support slots over the years, including tours with Karma To Burn and Nashville Pussy.
