SadBoi, RAAHiiM, ARDN and more join the lineup for the fifth edition of Western Canada's leading platform for Black artists, taking place in Vancouver for the first time from August 27–29, 2026. Making its Vancouver debut after four successful years in Kelowna, DI4TC continues its mission of creating meaningful performance opportunities and direct industry access for Black artists across Canada. Leading the first wave of announced performers are headliners SadBoi, whose genre-blurring blend of dancehall, R&B, and hip-hop has made her one of Canada's most exciting breakout voices; Toronto R&B standout RAAHiM, celebrated for his smooth vocals and emotionally charged songwriting; and ARDN, whose atmospheric sound and boundary-pushing approach continue to earn national attention. Joining them are a diverse group of emerging and established artists, including Afro-fusion artist Adewolf, soulful singer-songwriter Ahsia, genre-bending vocalist Mikey Jose, rising R&B talent Dacey, and the ever-popular Hush Music Party, known for transforming live events into immersive celebrations of music, culture, and community.

Founded by Vancouver-based, Botswana-born artist Teon Gibbs, Do It For The Culture was created to address longstanding barriers facing Black artists in Canada's music industry. What began as a curated showcase series in Kelowna has evolved into one of Western Canada's most vital platforms for Black music and culture, connecting artists with audiences, industry professionals, and career-building opportunities. "We're excited to see our community grow, we're excited to see more opportunities, and we can't wait to host our event in Vancouver this year," says founder Teon Gibbs. "The response has already been overwhelmingly positive — we've seen artist applications skyrocket by over 400%. This will be our fifth year, but it feels like a brand new and exciting start."

Positioned in one of Canada's most dynamic cultural centres, DI4TC 2026 will expand its reach while continuing to champion the next generation of artists working across hip-hop, R&B, Afro-fusion, house music, and beyond. "Do It For The Culture continues to be an event necessary for the Canadian music industry," adds Gibbs. "The calibre of artists and music professionals year over year continues to impress. Moving things to Vancouver this year feels like the natural next step in providing artists and music professionals alike with the tools, community, and platform to accelerate their careers." The essence of our event has always felt very real and very pure, and I feel like this year we're seeing it blossom into a staple event for Canadian artists in the R&B, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean spaces to mark on their calendars as a must-attend event."

Over the past four years, DI4TC has welcomed acclaimed artists including TOBi, Nonso Amadi, DijahSB, Shad, Jon Vinyl, and KALLITECHNIS, while also helping launch the careers of emerging artists through exposure, networking opportunities, and direct connections with industry leaders. Previous editions have attracted delegates from SiriusXM, CBC, record labels, management companies, festivals, and agencies from across the country.

More than a showcase, DI4TC has become a proven launchpad for artists seeking to build sustainable careers in music. Alumni have secured festival bookings, sync placements, national media coverage, and long-term professional partnerships as a direct result of participating in the event.

Additional artists, conference programming, industry delegates, and special events will be announced in the coming weeks.
