Don Melody Club releases EP "Zonder Pardon"

Don Melody Club presents 'Zonder Pardon', a 5-track EP of rhythm box sensation via Excelsior Recordings and the internationally renowned label Bongo Joe. 'Zonder Pardon' celebrates the beauty and power of mutual affection, catapulting you into a seductive underwater jungle with its uptempo drum machine rhythms, pulsating basslines, and funky melodies. The synths and vocals echo the finest work of Talking Heads and Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music), but the result is unmistakably Don Melody Club.

The release train kicked off in 2023 with the single 'T' Materiaal', a groovy adaptation of William DeVaughn's 'Be Thankful For What You Got', marking Donald Madjid's debut on Excelsior. On December 1st, the single 'Koud Kwartier' followed, evoking memories of Doe Maar's Nederwave in its vocal lines and enticing the listener to the dance or living room floor with its driving rhythms.

It's difficult to name a stage where Madjid hasn't performed. As a member of festival favorite The Mauskovic Dance Band, he has toured the world recently. However, next year's schedule has been cleared to focus all attention on his solo project, Don Melody Club, armed with a drum computer and live band.

Don Melody Club gained fame with his first solo album 'Pure Donzin' in 2021 and a well-received 7'' single on Bongo Joe. With performances at Le Guess Who?, Grasnapolsky, and as the opening act for an extensive Goldband tour, Don Melody Club has firmly established himself as a solo artist.

'Zonder Pardon' was released via Excelsior Recordings and Bongo Joe on January 19th as a 12” Maxi-Single on black vinyl.
