Dublin noise-rock trio Bucket announce new EP 'Mosaic' out 29th April, share new single 'Memento'

Dublin-based experimental noise-rock trio Bucket today announce their new EP 'Mosaic', out 29th April - and share their latest single 'Memento'. Bucket play their first London headline show at Sebright Arms on 27th April.

Self-recorded and produced in Transmission Rooms Studio in Longford and mixed by James Eager (Lankum, The Scratch), new single ‘Memento’ pushes Bucket into more extreme territory. A dense, rhythm-driven track that spirals toward a brutal climax, 'Memento' is framed as an interior monologue, with its narrator revisiting the aftermath of a violent act of revenge, as vocalist Cian Dahdouh explains:

"It’s a fictional story about trauma and violence. The narrator looks back on the moment they reached their breaking point and took revenge on their childhood bullies, still connected to it - revisiting the scene and holding onto the weapons. There’s a weight to it, but also satisfaction in ending their torment. This was the first song we recorded and produced ourselves and also our first time not recording the instrumentation live. Multitracking gave us the freedom to add dense layers of sounds which add a lot to this track in particular."

Across 'Mosaic', Bucket expand on the abrasive foundations of 2025 EP 'Muck', embracing heavier electronic elements, hardcore intensity and more ambitious, shape-shifting structures. Featuring previous singles 'DNB' and 'Nonsense', each track unfolds as an interior monologue - fragmented perspectives from fictional narrators grappling with paranoia, mania and obsessive behaviour. Together, they form an often unsettling whole, hinting at the unknowable inner lives of others and the extremities that can exist just beneath the surface.

Written collaboratively over an extended period, 'Mosaic' sees Bucket push their process and sound further than before. Rooted as much in electronic music as in hardcore and noise-rock, the EP is built on contrast - balancing catchy, danceable sections with crushing guitars and sharp dynamic shifts.

The forthcoming EP follows tour dates this year with YARD and Heavy Lungs, in addition to showcases at Eurosonic in January (marked by Dutch broadcaster 3voor12 as one of the highlights of the festival) along with appearances at Primavera Sound, New Colossus (NYC), and Supersonic Block Party (Paris).

Formed by guitarist/vocalist Cian Dahdouh and bassist Emmet McNamee (who met in college, arriving from garage-punk and metal/hardcore backgrounds respectively) and recently joined by drummer Korey Thomas (Bricknasty), Bucket first emerged in 2021 steeped in DIY abrasion, quickly building a reputation for ferocious live shows.

From selling out The Workman’s Club in Dublin to tearing through DIY spaces across Ireland and beyond, the band released standalone singles ‘Who Knows?’ and ‘Budgie’ in 2024, followed by 2025 EP ‘Muck’. With new EP 'Mosaic', Bucket continue to cement their reputation as one of Ireland's most uncompromising and exciting new bands.
