Duke Garwood release "Cold Blooded"
South-London bluesman Duke Garwood is known for his collaborations with Mark Lanegan and Archie Bronson Outfit, but his solowork is admired by Savages (who invited him on Sonic City in Kortrijk), Kurt Vile and Josh T. Pearson.
His new album is part recorded in Duke’s ‘Valley Heights‘ studio and at ‘Giant Wafer’ in Wales with producer Strat Barrett at the helm. It features friends Paul May on drums, Pete Marsh on double bass and, adding a Morricone-style to some choice cuts, Smoke Fairies' Emily on backing vocals.
“This record is fantasy music,” Duke tells. “Beautiful apocalypse love music, it doesn't hide from reality, but it could hide the listener from it all for a while.”
Garden of Ashes is set for release on 3rd February 2017 on Heavenly Recordings.
