Echo & The Bunnymen Shares New Single "Take Me By The Hand" - New Album "Apples For Isaac" Out September 18 Via BMG
"Take Me By The Hand" is the opening track on Echo & The Bunnymen’s majestic forthcoming album, "Apples For Isaac" (due out 18th September 2026), and it’s a mighty calling card from Ian McCulloch and the band.
Flying over the Bunnymen’s unhinged guitar-led groove, Mac’s words spiral like a compendium of unwanted statuses and unneeded life choices. Part aggrieved and part daydream logic, none of them are needed in order to bond - the simplicity of a normal life should do just fine.
With the legendary Clem Burke playing drums, "Take Me By The Hand" was produced by Ian McCulloch and mixed by McCulloch, Alan Moulder and Andrea Wright. Play loud and welcome the Bunnymen back.
Echo & The Bunnymen’s "Apples For Isaac" is due for release on BMG on 18th September 2026. There, an untouchable voice sings lyrics that could well be poetry from the stars, set against a musical backdrop capable of levitating listeners without warning — "Apples For Isaac" is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen. After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is bold and confident and at times even offers the listener a loving embrace. Across "Apples For Isaac"’s eleven songs, the Bunnymen have created an utterly addictive collection that perfectly captures the very essence of what makes them such a perfect British band.
"Apples For Isaac" is the band’s 13th album and follows 2014’s Meteorites (and the 2018 compilation The Stars, the Oceans & the Moon), and is due for release on vinyl, CD and digital formats - click here to preorder.
