Ego kill talent starts European tour today!
After a succesful tour last summer, the five piece Brazilian rockband EGO KILL TALENT is back in Europe again! From today on, they will support the huge Dutch symphonic rock band Within Temptation during the second leg of their European tour. The tour contains no less than 13 dates in big well-known venues. Today they will play the O2 Academy in Birmingham, followed by the O2 Apollo in Manchester (November 10), O2 Academy in Glasgow (November 11), London's O2 Brixton Academy (November 13) and the O2 Guildhall in Southampton (November 14). After the UK-dates the band will come back to the European mainland and play Le Zenith in Paris (November 16), Lotto Arena in Antwerp (November 17), Palladium in Cologne (November 19), Rockhal in Luxembourg (November 20) and the Samsung Hall in Zurich (November 21). The tour will end in Holland, featuring two dates in AFAS Live Amsterdam (November 23 and November 24) and the last show will be in Martiniplaza, Groningen on November 25. A few concerts are already sold out, but there all still some tickets left for the other dates. You can find all information and tickets through the website of Within Temptation.
The beginning of this year Ego Kill Talent completed a tour through Brazil with none other than Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. The band also played at Lollapalooza in Brazil and Chile, Rock in Rio and did a great festival tour in Europe last summer, during which they played Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, Nova Rock, Download Festival (Paris and Madrid) and Graspop Metal Meeting. The band also supported several concerts of Shinedown in June.
The music of Ego Kill Talent is reminiscent of Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Sour, Incubus, Faith No More, Alter Bridge, Royal Blood, Velvet Revolver, but it certainly has its own twist. And you can even take that literally; when performing live, the musicians switch from instrument to instrument with virtually every song, creating a very cool and surprising effect. The ten solid rockers on Ego Kill Talent’s self-titled debut album of 2016 are a showcase for the enormous growth of the band. ‘Ego Kill Talent’ was produced and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Cure, Sepultura, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Hatebreed, Glassjaw, Sick Of It All, Misfits) and was preceded by two EP's called ‘Sublimated’ (2015) and ‘Still Here’ (2016). Between all the gigging and travelling, experienced band members Jean Dolabella (drums, guitar), Jonathan Correa (vocals), Raphael Miranda (drums, bass), Theo van der Loo (guitar, bass) and Niper Boaventura (guitar, bass) even found the time to write challenging new songs. The new album will be ready in 2019.
