Ema, a new cosmos of extreme metal unleashed
A new cosmos of extreme metal unleashed
From the depths of Santiago, Chile, Enchiridion Mortis Aeternae (EMA) proudly announces the release of their highly anticipated debut album, “Liber Mortis”, available starting August 21st on all digital platforms. As a second preview, they've just dropped the video lyric for ‘Judgement of Osiris’, a mystical and apocalyptic journey that's part of this conceptual work delving into the rich history of the Egyptian “Book of the Dead”.
Forged in shadow and ritual, the album is a sonic invocation seamlessly blending melodic death metal, black metal, and progressive passages. It's packed with dense atmospheres, dissonances, and a profoundly esoteric lyrical aesthetic. “Liber Mortis” marks a deeply gratifying achievement for the band, the culmination of years of artistic exploration. “It doesn't follow a formula and is charged with its own unique atmosphere, dark, intense, and reflective, truly capturing raw emotions”, the band comments.
Formed in 2022, EMA features Sebastián Vidal (drums), Pablo Cáceres (bass), Erwin Henríquez (vocals), and Rodrigo Cuello (synths and guitars), who also produced the album. Drums were recorded at Nihil Records by Sergio Rojas, while bass, synths, and guitars were tracked at Murder Studios by Rodrigo Cuello. Mixing and mastering were expertly handled by Richard Iturra of Ripo Audios Studios, renowned for his work with bands like Egregor and Weight of Emptiness.
With this release, EMA aims to establish their sound within both the national and international metal scenes, connecting with listeners who seek more than just music, they seek an experience, and extreme music driven by genuine exploration and discovery.
