Aydra releases Heruka - Psycho Symphony

A milestone of late-'90s Italian death metal, “Icon of Sin” is AYDRA's first full-length, released in 1999 on Sound Machine Recordings after the “Psycho Pain Control” mini CD (1996, Dawn of Sadness). Composed between 1995 and 1997 and recorded in 1998 by David Lenci, the album marks the technical maturity of the band from Italy's Marche region and their full entry into the canon of Italian death metal.

Their stated influences - Death, Cynic, Atheist, Pestilence - are the starting point for a songwriting style that blends extreme technicality, melody and storytelling: ten tracks where every passage is calculated, but the punch always lands. “We were looking for music that was violent but considered, intricate yet keeping the essential structure of a song”, says Mauro Pacetti.

On July 24th we will have the definitive edition: after the vinyl reissue released by Rude Awakening Records in 2024, the album returns remastered by Marco Bianchella at White Rock Studios and expanded with four exclusive bonus live tracks recorded by the current line-up at 2025 shows - one song from each album of the band's discography: “Carnage” (from “Psycho Pain Control”), “Icon of Sin” (title-track), “Hyperlogical Non-sense”, and “Forever Hide” (from “Leave to Nowhere”). A quarter of a century of extreme music, artistic vision, and unwavering coherence: HERUKA celebrate 25 years of career with "Live in Rome", a live album capturing the full ferocity and intensity of the band in their natural habitat — the stage.

The release documents their performance at the Rome Carnage Extreme Fest held at Defrag in Rome, an incendiary night in which the band revisited their entire discography. The setlist was conceived as a true journey through the different artistic phases of HERUKA, performed with a power and cohesion that testify to the band’s outstanding form after 25 years of activity.

More than 25 years after its original 1997 release, Romanian cult Prog Thrash band PSYCHO SYMPHONY brings back "Silent Fall". Remastered and reimagined, the album is now available again—and for the first time pressed on CD via Loud Rage Music. Recorded in Romania during a burst of creative intensity and progressive spirit, it continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
