Experimental Avantgardist Malo Moray Shares "Ascending Through Jupiter's Eye" Recording Session Video! (For Fans of Lou Reed, Brian Eno, John Zorn)

Ahead of the album release of Improvisations From The Solar System (And Other Solo Pieces) this friday, dark experimental entity Malo Moray shares a recording session video for the track Through Jupiter's Eye!

The track is an experimental avant garde song with a monotonously recurring rhythm, which has a medium tempo and a slightly hypnotic effect, changing tempo and rhythm towards the end. It showcases the organic warmth and depth of the recording.

Malo Moray comments: "I decided to release this ominous and dark piece as it captures the beauty and perils of nature’s creation - when re-listening to the recorded album sessions I instantly had imagery of storms in my head - nasty swirling synth sounds layering and layering, gravitating each other in chaotic yet directional ways... Jupiter’s eye always fascinated me - there’s a storm out there that lasts hundreds of years, larger than planet earth! What a spectacular yet beautifully crafted giant destructor. I always wondered... does Jupiter’s red spot storm spin the eye of the hurricane too? You’ll find out in this first piece from Solar System ..."

Malo Moray strives for understanding human existence through means of immersive experimental improvisations in unconventional musical settings inspired by the cosmos, science-fiction and obsolete sounds.

The new album is „the dark soundtrack to a dystopian Stanley Kubrick movie about the solitude of an astronaut drifting desperately lonely through space“ as press reports. Martin Riebel aka Malo Moray is the protagonist of this challenging ominous soundtrack, reflecting the vastness and isolation of space back onto his own depressive experiences during the COVID-crisis.

Malo‘s solo project is an ongoing experiment combining experimental music, ambient, kraut, neo-classical and jazz into a unique outburst of musical energies: Modified tape players, a prepared guitar and multiple self built synths orbit his virtuos electronically processed upright bass playing; emitting vast sound scapes reminiscing 80s sci-fi sound design emerging from the avant-garde works of Lou Reed, Brian Eno or John Zorn.

Intersed with a subtle sarcasm, the new album orbits human existence itself - the indifference and meaning of humankind in the eye of the frightening power and tremendous beauty of nature‘s creation.
