Fall & Resist Announce 4 Track Release Dissolved in Misery: a Recording With a Hidden Twist

Australian metal ensemble Fall & Resist are poised to unveil their latest EP, 'Dissolved in Misery', on 5 August 2025. This four-track release signifies a pivotal evolution in the band's sound, intertwining melancholic melodies with aggressive undertones, while offering fans a few surprises along the way.

Building upon the critical acclaim of their previous works, 'Darkness of Now' and the album 'Fading Cinders', Fall & Resist continue to refine their distinctive blend of melodic death metal and metalcore, offering a darker and more brooding release than in the past. Their sound has been lauded for its intricate compositions and emotive depth, drawing comparisons to melodic giants Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and At The Gates.

'Dissolved in Misery' marks the debut of guitarist Luke Murnane, allowing frontman Liam "Frosty" Frost-Camilleri to focus exclusively on vocal duties and his signature stage presence.

In a groundbreaking move, Fall & Resist have collaborated with Dmitry, vocalist of brother-band Distorta, on a track with a twist. When asked about this ‘twist’ Frosty replied, “Those that know us won’t be overly surprised, but it’ll be pretty cool. I’m only aware of one other band who has done something like this before...”, hinting that whatever the twist is will be available sooner rather than later.

The band's commitment to innovation extends to their visual storytelling. A film clip for two tracks "Cogs in the Machine" and "Living the Lie" will be released in time, giving fans a lot to be excited about.

Bio

Formed in 2016, Fall & Resist hail from Victoria, Australia. The original lineup consisted of Liam "Frosty" Frost-Camilleri (guitar, vocals), Brendon Pyers (guitar, backing vocals), Rory Pyers (bass), and Benito Martino (drums). In 2025, the band welcomed guitarist Luke Murnane, enabling Frost-Camilleri to focus solely on vocal duties.

The band's debut EP, 'Buried Beneath' (2016), showcased their musical versatility and set the stage for their first full-length album, 'Fading Cinders' (2018). This album highlighted complex song structures and a balance of light and dark musical elements, with tracks like 'Severity' and 'Cinders' becoming staples in their live performances.

In 2022, Fall & Resist released the EP 'Darkness of Now', incorporating thrash and post-metal influences to further expand their sound. Tracks such as 'Creators of Our Own Demise' and 'Nothing but Pain' demonstrate the band's ability to blend aggression with melody, earning positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
