FemME III is coming

In about three weeks the third edition or FemME is going to happen. On 23-25 September the party is in the Effenaar (Eindhoven, the Netherlands). There are a lot of reasons to join FemME such as the lineup covering many styles of metal and the great choice of very well-known bands and some bands to discover.

The Friday has a special (semi) acoustic setting. Next to the more known KINGFISHER SKY you will have the opportunity to meet the in the Netherlands not so well-known German opera metal band MOLLLUST. The highlight is the set of MARCELA BOVIO. This show is also the release show of her solo album "Unprecedented". She will be accompanied by a string quartet.

On Saturday, the more heavy part of the festival starts, In addition to last year's revelation END OF THE DREAM you will find two top bands from Canada on stage; KOBRA AND THE LOTUS with the only show in Netherlands, THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE even the only show on the Mainland of Europe this year. Co-headliner SIRENIA just completed the recordings of their new album and hits the stage for the first time with a new singer. Also DIABULUS IN MUSICA has a new album in their pocket (release on 18 november). Among the less famous bands there is the progmetal of EX LIBRIS with Dianne van Giersbergen (Xandria), for the first time in the new line-up and some more heavy music of BLIKSEM and THE CHARM THE FURY.

The last day opens just like previous editions with the annual fashion show of INGEBORG STEENHORST. Ingeborg is known as stylist of several bands of which Epica is one of the most well-known. Not only stage clothing will be shown but also daily wearable designs. The show is supported musically by CIRRHA NIVA. At the small stage a.o., the battle winner SHADOWRISE (links to the Metal Factory, the metal education in Eindhoven) and INFECTED RAIN from Moldavia. In the Main Hall there is power metal of ANCIENT BARDS and the established XANDRIA. To the more heavy side are NIGHTMARE and the headliner ARCH ENEMY who closed last year’s Dynamo Metal Fest and recently had a great headliner show at Wacken. The FemME gig is for Arch Enemy the closure of the "War Eternal" tour 2016.

For sure, also the not mentioned bands are definitely worth it getting in. A total of 27 national and international acts on 2 stages, without overlapping playing times. This line-up makes the largest female metal event of Europe. Three days of state of the art metal in a great location (de Effenaar), in a nice ambiance and excellent facilities including a brand new sound system.
