Filippo Bianchini was born in Orvieto,Italy. Thanks to the father's collection of LP began studying music at 7 years hold. He falls in love with the music of Charlie Parker, Lester Young, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Massimo Urbani and many others. At the age of 18, he graduates in 2007 at the Conservatory F.Morlacchi of Perugia, obtaining the highest marks (10/10).

In 2013 he obtained a Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag with one of the greatest European musicians: the American saxophonist and clarinetist John Ruocco.

He wins numerous awards including the European Jimmy Woode Award 2012,Rotary Jazz Award 2012,Fara Sabina Jazz Competition 2009-2011. He plays in important festivals and clubs such as North Sea Jazz Fest, The Hague Jazz, Casa del Jazz in Rome, Tuscia in Jazz just to mention few.

Among the most important collaborations includes musicians such as: Steve Grossman, Andy Gravish, Reggie Workman, Billy Harper, Ack van Rooyen, Eric Ineke, John Ruocco, Bert Joris, Jean Louis Rassinfosse, Nichola Andreoli, Gwilym Simcock, Norma Winstone, Sid Jacobs, Marco Tamburini, Rosario Bonaccorso, Mario Raja, Maurizio Giammarco, A. Cohen and many others. His first album as leader: ''Disorder of the Border''' has been recorded with great musicians as Nicola Andrioli on piano, Armando Luongo on drums and Jean-Louis Rassinfosse on bass (and as Special Guest, John Ruocco on tenor sax and clarinet and Rodolfo Neves on trumpet) and set for a release on September 25th, 2015.
