First names Summer Breeze 2016
The pre-sale of the tickets for Summer Breeze 2016 has started. This means the first names have also been announced:
KÄRBHOLZ
Fancy some rock, punk, indie and rock'n'roll? With German lyrics? KÄRBHOLZ will make their way to Dinkelsbühl for the very first time to take part in SUMMER BREEZE 2016.
The Deutschrock scene has certainly brought numerous first-class artists to light in the last few years, and KÄRBHOLZ are certainly one of the style's most arse-kicking exponents. Musically diverse and lyrically anything but obvious (like most of their colleagues'), KÄRBHOLZ know how to rock despite their finesse. Their shows are prime examples of down-to-earth rock'n'roll entertainment and so the Germans will turn the fields of Dinkelsbühl into a right mess.
EXODUS
Skull-splitting riffs, mosh pits galore and hit after hit after hit, that is what you will get from THE Bay Area thrash steamroller in Dinkelsbühl: EXODUS will attack SUMMER BREEZE 2016 and leave nothing but scorched earth in their wake!
There is probably no metalhead who doesn't know and love the California riff machine, as the crew led by drummer Tom Hunting not only has influenced numerous bands, but has also released a whole catalogue of hits in their 30 year career. It doesn't matter if you like to thrash around to the tracks of their debut 'Bonded By Blood' or if you prefer more recent songs, EXODUS haven't lost one bit of their passion, brutality and sheer force at any time of their turbulent career, managing to unite young and old fans in the process. So look forward t a massive 'Lesson In Violence' in Dinkelsbühl and have some 'Good Friendly Violent Fun'.
KORPIKLAANI
Wood gnomes and gnome-sses, your prayers have been heard, as KORPIKLAANI are coming to SUMMER BREEZE 2016 to set the pace and get your tired bodies moving.
And the fiery Finns are certainly masters of their art, as they have already proven on countless European tours and numerous festival shows, where they have always left behind an extremely overdriven crowd. With all the hits of their back catalogue, which has grown to be quite extensive by now, under their belts, they will prove once more that folk, humppa, metal and fun are not mutually exclusive, but work wonders when they go hand in hand. And now, a big swill from the drinking horn: Kippis!
SUBWAY TO SALLY
SUBWAY TO SALLY can almost be considered part of the festival inventory. While their debut dates back to 2000, they finally return to Dinkelsbühl after a four-year absence. They love the festival so much, they even dedicated the song 'Schwarzes Meer' to SUMMER BREEZE. And the fans love them back, especially their music. By now the Potsdam gang are not only one of the biggest acts of the medieval scene, they are actually at the forefront of the whole hard music scene. That's why the musician led by mainman Eric Fish can fill the main stage area at any given time, making black-clad bodies move to their rhythm. Look forward to a fireworks display of hits by SUBWAY TO SALLY – from hard and danceable to tender and emotional! There is something for everybody!
SABATON
If there is a band in heavy metal who fit the term “shooting stars of the last years”, it is undoubtedly Sweden's SABATON. That's why it makes us especially happy we were able to book the band led by Joakim Broden for SUMMER BREEZE 2016. And those who remember their phenomenal gig in 2013 know that they will give their all in the coming year. SABATON have promised us a “killer” show, so you can look forward to a sweat-ridden heavy metal concert with crushing tracks such as 'Ghost Division', 'Cliffs Of Gallipoli', 'Swedish Pagans' and other killers from their (still) current hit album 'Heroes'. So put on your camo trousers and lubricate your vocal cords to chant NOCH EIN BIER!
