Foo Fighters releases album "Your Favorite Toy"

The 12th album in Foo Fighters’ 15-GRAMMY-Award-winning discography, Your Favorite Toy’s arrival was heralded over the last several months by the “back-to-basics garage-rock delivered in a welter of noisy guitars” (The New York Times) of its title track, "thunderous tone-setter” (Associated Press) “Caught In The Echo,” the “fist-pounding” (Revolver) “Of All People,” and “characteristically intense rocker” (UPROXX) “Asking For A Friend.”

Your Favorite Toy ushers in a new chapter of Foo Fighters’ longtime dominance at multiple radio formats, its string of chart-toppers beginning with last fall's release of “Asking For A Friend” in the wake of the band's ecstatically received surprise club shows. The handful of intimate one-offs, in locales ranging from San Luis Obispo CA to Washington DC, begs the question of whether Your Favorite Toy’s release will see similar spontaneous Foo Fighters underplays.

Your Favorite Toy’s release also coincides with the intriguing new video for “Window.” Developed from an original concept by Dave Grohl and directed by Jake Erland, this visual interpretation of one of the new album’s multiple standouts takes viewers on a journey of detached voyeurism: The video stars Craig Parkinson as a window cleaner scaling the glass and steel exterior of a massive skyscraper, observing the various inhabitants of each floor while he remains virtually invisible.
